Mauro Costa

Mauro Costa PhD Architect is an architecture and design company based in Barcelona, Spain, with current projects in a number of cities within the Iberian peninsula. Previous work of the company ranges from museums and leisure complexes, to residential housing and research projects. There is also a specific interest within the company in the relationship between the design found in the structures of nature and man-made architecture. Mauro Costa PhD Architect works in, and is fluent in, a number languages; including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Catalan. Born in Leiria, Portugal, in 1975, professor Mauro Costa is a Visiting Professor at ESARQ-UIC, ELISAVA and IaaC in Barcelona and FA-UTL and Lusíada in Lisbon. He holds a Ph.D., a Master in History of Architecture and Design, and a Master in Genetic Architectures: the New Cybernetic Design and the New Ecological Design from ESARQ-UIC, Barcelona. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture from FA-UTL, Portugal.
